How to get your System Status Report
- 01
Open the status page
In WordPress admin go to WooCommerce > Status.
- 02
Generate the report
Click Get system report, then Copy for support.
- 03
Paste it here
Paste the whole report into the box and click Analyze. It's read in your browser and never sent anywhere.
Copy for GitHub works too: it hides your site URLs and database details, which the analysis doesn't need.
What it checks and why
| Area | Red (fix first) | Yellow (fix soon) |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress | Below 7.0, the minimum for WooCommerce 11.1 | Behind the latest release |
| WooCommerce | Two or more major versions behind, or database update pending | Behind the latest release |
| PHP | 8.1 or older (end of life) | 8.2 (security fixes end 31 Dec 2026) |
| Memory | Under 64 MB | Under WooCommerce's recommended 256 MB |
| Errors and debug | PHP errors shown to visitors | WP_DEBUG on in production |
| Scheduled actions | Pending actions more than a day past due | |
| Templates | Outdated overrides | Overrides with no version header |
| Orders | Legacy posts storage, or HPOS sync left on | |
| Plugins and cron | Updates waiting, untested plugins, inactive plugins, WP-Cron disabled |
The current versions are built in (WordPress 7.1.2 and WooCommerce 11.1.2, checked 30 September 2026). If a newer release is out, change them in the fields under the box. When the report itself says a newer WordPress is available, that version is used.
Example: the built-in sample report
- Versions
- WooCommerce 10.9.2, WordPress 6.9.4, PHP 8.1.29
- Settings
- 128 MB memory, WP_DEBUG on, errors shown, WP-Cron off, HPOS off
- Queue
- 1,864 pending actions, oldest due 3 days before the report
- Templates
- 2 of 3 overrides out of date
5 issues to fix first (WordPress too old, PHP end of life, errors shown to visitors, scheduled actions 3 days past due, 2 outdated templates), 9 to fix soon and 4 passing. Score: 47.
Working through the fixes
- Back up and use staging. Version, PHP and template changes can break checkout. Test them on a staging copy first.
- Update in order: PHP (ask your host), then WordPress, then WooCommerce, then extensions. Current WooCommerce won't install on WordPress older than 7.0.
- Outdated templates: copy the current file from
woocommerce/templates/into your theme'swoocommerce/folder and re-apply your changes. - Past-due actions: check Tools > Scheduled Actions. Action Scheduler treats past-due actions older than a day as a sign something's wrong. If WP-Cron is disabled, a server cron job must call
wp-cron.php. The tool gives you a crontab line. - HPOS: confirm your extensions support it, then switch under WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Features.
The tool also produces a numbered fix list to send your developer, and the wp-config.php lines for memory and debug settings. Change existing lines rather than adding duplicates: defining a constant twice causes a PHP warning.
Questions people ask
Where do I find the WooCommerce System Status Report?
In WordPress admin go to WooCommerce > Status, click Get system report, then Copy for support.
Is it safe to paste my report here?
Yes. The analysis runs entirely in your browser and nothing is uploaded. Use Copy for GitHub if you'd rather hide your URLs.
What PHP version should WooCommerce run on?
WooCommerce recommends PHP 8.3 or later. PHP 8.1 and older no longer get security fixes, and 8.2's security support ends on 31 December 2026.
What does 'outdated template' mean in WooCommerce?
Your theme overrides a WooCommerce template with an older copy. It can miss fixes and break features. Update the override from the current core file.
What are past-due scheduled actions?
Background jobs (emails, renewals, webhooks) that missed their run time. Some are normal, but Action Scheduler treats ones more than a day overdue as a sign something's wrong, usually cron.
