WooCommerce Store Audit
Delivery, SEO basics, a handful of security headers and checkout readiness, combined into one scored report.
What's in the score
This combines four groups of checks into one report from a single homepage visit: delivery (HTTPS, compression, caching headers, page weight), SEO basics (title, meta description, structured data, robots.txt and sitemap), a handful of security headers, and checkout readiness (is WooCommerce detected, is a cart link visible). It's meant as a fast first pass, not a replacement for a full audit.
- For a deeper security scan (exposed backups, XML-RPC, user enumeration), use the WordPress security check.
- For a single product page's SEO and conversion signals, use the product page grader.
- For plugin-level HPOS and checkout-block compatibility, use the plugin compatibility checker.
Using the fix list
Every failed or warned check is collected into a downloadable fix list at the bottom of the report, ordered by severity, ready to hand to whoever manages the store or to work through yourself.
Limits
- This reads the homepage, robots.txt and the sitemap only; it can't see a specific product or category page's own problems.
- "No structured data found" checks the homepage specifically; most stores add schema.org markup on product pages instead, which is normal and not itself a problem.
- Page weight and header checks reflect a single request from our server, not a real browser loading every asset, script and image.
Questions people ask
What's a good score?
80 or above means the basics are solid. Below 50 usually means several quick wins are available: missing compression, no sitemap, or no HTTPS enforcement are common causes.
Does this check my actual page speed (Core Web Vitals)?
Not directly: it checks server-level delivery signals (compression, caching headers, HTML size), not a full Core Web Vitals measurement, which needs a real browser loading every asset. Use Google PageSpeed Insights or Chrome DevTools for that.
Why does it say WooCommerce wasn't detected on a WooCommerce store?
The detection looks for common markers (the woocommerce plugin path, WooCommerce block classes, or a WooCommerce meta tag) in the homepage HTML; a heavily customized theme or a store that only shows WooCommerce markers on the shop page can be missed on the homepage alone.
Can I use this to check a client's site before a project?
Yes, that's exactly the kind of quick, shareable first-pass audit it's meant for.
