Liquid template

Rendered output

html
<h2>CLASSIC COTTON TEE</h2>

  <p>$25.00</p>

<ul>

  <li>1. Small / Black — In stock</li>

  <li>2. Medium / Black — Sold out</li>

  <li>3. Large / Black — In stock</li>

</ul>

Sample data: product (title, vendor, type, price, compare_at_price, available, tags, description, variants), cart (item_count, total_price, items), order (name, email, created_at, total_price, line_items) and shop (name, email, currency, domain). Supports {% if %}/{% unless %}/{% for %}/{% case %}/{% assign %}/{% capture %} and the common text, number and array filters (money, upcase, truncate, join, where, date and more), but not the full Liquid language, app-added objects or your theme's own metafields.

What's available

Type or paste Liquid and it renders instantly against sample product, cart, order and shop objects, entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

ObjectFields you can use
producttitle, vendor, type, price, compare_at_price, available, tags, description, variants (each with title, price, available)
cartitem_count, total_price, items (each with title, quantity, line_price)
ordername, email, created_at, total_price, line_items
shopname, email, currency, domain
  • Tags: {% if %}/{% unless %}/{% elsif %}/{% else %}, {% for %} with forloop, {% case %}/{% when %}, {% assign %}, {% capture %}, {% comment %}
  • Filters: money, upcase, downcase, capitalize, truncate, truncatewords, strip_html, replace, remove, append, prepend, plus, minus, times, divided_by, round, default, size, first, last, join, sort, uniq, reverse, date, where, map and a few more

What it isn't

This is a practical subset of Liquid built for trying out logic quickly, not the full Shopify Liquid engine. It doesn't know your theme's actual metafields, settings, snippets or app objects, and a handful of filters and edge cases aren't implemented. For anything that has to be exact, test it in a real theme preview before publishing.

Questions people ask

Does this use my real store's data?

No, it always runs against fixed sample product, cart and order data shown in the guide above, so you can share a template without exposing anything from your store.

Can I test my theme's actual metafields here?

Not directly, since the sample product doesn't carry your metafields. Use the metafield Liquid generator to build the access code, then paste it into a real template to test against live data.

Why did my template render blank?

Check the rendered output panel for an error message first. If there's none, the logic likely evaluated to nothing, for example an {% if %} whose condition never matched, or a filter this playground doesn't implement.

Is this safe to paste real Liquid from my theme into?

It runs entirely in your browser, nothing is uploaded, but paste only what you need since not every tag or filter is supported yet.
