To install: in Shopify admin go to Online Store → Themes, click … next to your theme → Edit code. Under Sections choose Add a new section, name it as shown above, replace the contents with this code and save. Then open Customize and add the section where you want it. Try it on a duplicate of your theme first. Add it under your Buy buttons, usually right below the Add to cart button.
Live preview
Real payment icons, not a stock image
Shopify's shop.enabled_payment_types object lists exactly the payment methods your store currently accepts, based on your enabled providers and the shopper's region and currency. Piped through Shopify's own payment_type_svg_tag filter, it renders the correct brand SVG for each one automatically, so the row always matches what's actually turned on. You never have to update icons by hand when you add or remove a payment provider.
The extra guarantee badges (secure checkout, money-back guarantee, free shipping) are small inline SVGs with editable labels, since those aren't tied to a Shopify object.
Adding it to your theme
- 01
Add the section
Online Store → Themes → Edit code → Sections → Add a new section, name it
trust-badges, paste the code, then add it to your product template in Customize, usually right under the Buy buttons.
Questions people ask
Why does the preview show generic "VISA" and "PP" labels instead of real logos?
The live preview here is a mock-up, since it can't call Shopify's own icon filter outside your store. Once installed, your actual store will render each provider's real SVG logo automatically.
Will the payment icons change if I add Shop Pay or Apple Pay later?
Yes, automatically, since the row is built from shop.enabled_payment_types at render time. You won't need to touch this section again.
Can I control the order the icons appear in?
Shopify returns them in a fixed order based on your settings; this snippet doesn't reorder them. You can turn off the payment icons row entirely and only show the guarantee badges if you want full control over ordering.
