For up to 3 years of sold data, use Product research in Seller Hub (free for sellers). The filters here use the same address parameters eBay's own search page adds; eBay doesn't document them, so if one stops working the search simply opens without that filter.
What this builds for you
eBay's own search lets you filter sold or completed listings, but building the right link by hand (excluding junk words, setting a price range, picking a condition) takes several clicks every time. This tool builds that link from a short form, using the same address parameters eBay's search page itself adds when you apply filters there.
- Sold only shows items that actually sold. Completed adds listings that ended without a sale, useful for judging demand as well as price.
- Exclude words removes common junk from your results: box-only listings, broken items, parts lots.
- Active listings link opens the same search without the sold filter, so you can compare what's currently for sale against what recently sold.
Sell-through rate
Above 50% means demand is outrunning supply for that search: similar items are moving quickly, so you can likely price near the recent sold prices. Below 20% means there's more supply than buyers: expect a longer wait or a lower price to compete.
Limits to know
eBay's public search only keeps recent sold history, typically the last 90 days. For up to 3 years of sold data with more filters, eBay sellers get Product research in Seller Hub for free. eBay doesn't publish or guarantee these search parameters, so if a filter stops narrowing results the way you expect, the link will still open, just without that filter applied.
Questions people ask
How do I search sold listings on eBay?
On eBay's own search, use the Advanced search link, or filter results for 'Sold items'. This tool builds that filtered link for you from a simple form, including price, condition and excluded words.
What's the difference between 'Sold' and 'Completed' listings?
Sold shows only listings that ended in a sale. Completed shows both sold and unsold listings, which is useful for seeing how much demand there was relative to how many items were offered.
How far back does eBay's sold listings search go?
Public search typically covers around the last 90 days. For longer history, use Product research inside eBay's Seller Hub, which is free for sellers.
What's a good sell-through rate?
Above 50% suggests strong demand for that search. Below 20% suggests supply outweighs demand, so you may need to wait longer or price lower to sell.
