eBay Title Generator
Write an eBay title of up to 80 characters that leads with brand, model and the specifics buyers search for.
What eBay asks for in a title
- Up to 80 characters. eBay's listing best practices say to use all 80 and focus on relevant keywords.
- Specific details: brand, model, size, color and the specs buyers compare. eBay's own examples read like
Apple iPhone 11 Pro 256GB Midnight Green Carrier Unlocked Grade A. - An optional subtitle of up to 55 characters, which eBay charges extra for.
The generator follows a fixed order: Brand + Model + Product type + Key specs + Color + Condition or key detail. It skips any part you don't give, and never invents one.

Pitfalls
- Symbols and filler.
L@@K,WOWand asterisks use up characters buyers never search for. - Condition wording. Add condition words when they tell buyers something, such as "New in Box" or "For Parts". eBay's condition field covers the rest.
- Counting. AI models count loosely. The title box shows a character count; if it's over 80, drop the least important word.
- Other people's brands. Only name another brand to say what your item fits, such as "case for iPhone 13".
Questions people ask
How long can an eBay title be?
80 characters. eBay also offers an optional subtitle of up to 55 characters, for an extra fee.
Should I use all 80 characters?
eBay's best practices say yes: use the space for relevant keywords and item details, not filler.
Should I put the condition in the title?
When it adds information, such as "New in Box" or "For Parts". For used items, a fact like "Tested" or "Unlocked" is usually more useful than "Used".
Do item specifics matter as much as the title?
They work together. Fill in every item specific you can; the tool lists them from your details so none are missed.
Is it free?
Yes, with a fair-use limit so it stays free for everyone. There's no sign-up. Your notes are sent to an AI model only to write the copy.
