Boutique Name Generator
Get names for a small, curated shop, matched to what you sell, the feel you want and whether you sell online only or from a storefront too.
Boutique type and feel
A boutique name should feel personal and curated. Pick the boutique type (women's clothing, gift shop, home decor, baby and kids, beauty or mixed goods) and the feel (elegant, warm and cozy, playful, modern or rustic), and the generator draws its words from there.
- Shop and online: a local place name is allowed in a few names, but only a place your details actually mention.
- Online only: place names are left out, so the store isn't tied to one town.
- "Boutique" itself: it can end a name, like "Juniper Boutique", but never as the only distinctive word, and in at most three of the names.
Before you commit
- 01
Search the trademark databases
Search the name in the USPTO trademark search if you sell in the US, and the WIPO Global Brand Database for other countries. Look for the same or similar-sounding names on related products, not only exact matches.
- 02
Search the web and social platforms
Search Google, Instagram, TikTok and the marketplaces you sell on for a business already using the name.
- 03
Check the domain and handles
Check the domain with a registrar and the social handles on each platform you plan to use. Nothing is yours until you register it.
- 04
Get a second opinion
Say your top three out loud to a few people and ask them to spell it back. Before you pay for a logo or packaging, have a trademark attorney run a clearance search.
Questions people ask
Should I use a place name in my boutique's name?
Only if you sell from a physical shop and want the local connection. If you sell online only, skip it so the name doesn't limit you to one town.
Can every name just be "[Something] Boutique"?
The generator limits that pattern to at most three names in a batch, since "Boutique" alone isn't a distinctive trademark. The rest use a standalone name instead.
What if I want to use my own name?
Pick "Uses my name" as the style and add your name under Details. If you leave it blank, the names use a [Your name] placeholder to show the pattern.
How is this different from the general business name generator?
This one is tuned to boutique conventions: type, feel and whether you have a physical shop. For a broader business, use the business name generator.
