Brand Voice Generator
Paste 1 to 3 samples of your own writing and get a voice chart with do and don't examples, built from patterns the samples actually show.
Built from your own writing, not a template
Paste 1 to 3 samples of writing your store has already published: a product description, an email, a social caption. Separate each one with a line that has only --- on it. The generator reads what the samples actually do (sentence length, how they address the reader, favorite words, punctuation) and writes the voice chart from that, not from a generic list of traits.
If you name words you want to sound like, the generator uses them for the traits only where the samples back them up. Where a sample contradicts what you asked for, it says so in "What the samples show" instead of pretending the contradiction isn't there.
Reading the voice chart
Each trait is a plain adjective (Warm, Direct, Curious), never a marketing word (Innovative, Premium). For each one you get We are (what it means for you), We are not (the extreme to avoid), and a Do and Don't example sentence about your own products.
With one sample, the guide still works, but the first bullet under "What the samples show" will say more samples would make it more reliable. Two or three samples from different formats (an email and a product page, say) give the clearest picture.
Using it day to day
- Save it somewhere everyone who writes for the store can find it, including freelancers and agencies.
- Paste the voice chart into the brief whenever you use an AI writing tool, including the product description generator.
- Review it again after six months, or whenever you launch a new product line.
Questions people ask
How do I separate multiple samples?
Put a line with only --- on it between each sample. The tool uses the first three samples it finds and ignores any after that.
What should I paste as a sample?
Anything your store has already published in its own words: a product description, a marketing email, a social caption. Real writing works better than a description of the tone you want.
Can it write in a tone I haven't used yet?
Not reliably. It's built to describe and sharpen the voice your samples already show, not invent a new one from nothing. If you want to move the voice in a new direction, say so under "Words we want to sound like" and check the result against your samples.
How many traits does the chart have?
Three by default, with an option for four if your voice needs an extra dimension covered.
What do I do with the guide once I have it?
Paste it into the brief for any writer or AI tool working on your store's copy, including the About Us page generator.
