Product Launch Plan Generator
Get a six-week, dated launch timeline across your channels, from planning to launch week, with Shopify or WooCommerce setup tasks built in.
The six weeks, dated for you
| Week | Focus |
|---|---|
| 1: Plan and prepare | Goal, offer, budget, product page and photos, stock or pre-order setup, tracking |
| 2: Build the audience | A way to sign up for launch news, first posts about the problem it solves |
| 3: Create the content | Photos, videos, emails and ads written and scheduled |
| 4: Tease the launch | Sneak peeks, behind-the-scenes, the first launch email |
| 5: Final checks and countdown | Test orders, discount codes, shipping settings, page speed, countdown posts |
| 6: Launch week | Launch day emails and posts, ads live, answering comments, a reminder email |
Give it a launch date and every week gets real calendar dates instead of "5 weeks before launch". Ads only start in week 5, and every chosen channel gets at least one task a week.
Launch type changes the emphasis
- New product: leans on email to your existing customers, since you already have an audience.
- New store: weights weeks 2 to 4 toward building the list and social following from nothing.
- New collection: plans a lookbook or gift guide across several products.
- Pre-order: states the expected ship date clearly on the page and in emails, and never promises a date your details don't give.
Platform setup, built into weeks 1 and 5
- 01
Shopify, week 1
Add the product as a draft so you can build the page before launch. For a brand-new store, keep password protection on under Online Store > Preferences until launch day.
- 02
Shopify, week 5
Place a test order, check your notification emails, test the discount code, and remember to turn off password protection on launch day if the store is new.
- 03
WooCommerce, week 1
Set the product up as a draft or private product so you can prepare the page before launch.
- 04
WooCommerce, week 5
Place a test order with a real payment method, check the order emails, and test the discount code under Marketing > Coupons.
Questions people ask
What if I don't have a launch date yet?
Leave it blank and the plan uses relative timing, such as "3 weeks before launch week", instead of real dates. Add the date later and regenerate for a dated version.
Do I need all four channels?
No. Pick only the channels you actually use, and the plan builds tasks around those. Ads only appear starting in week 5, once everything else is in place.
How is a pre-order launch different?
It states the expected ship date on the page and in every email, and never invents one. If a real date isn't given, it leaves a placeholder for you to fill in rather than guessing.
What happens after launch week?
The plan includes an "After launch" section covering follow-up emails, reviews, restocks and reporting for the two weeks after.
I need the actual launch emails too.
Write them with the product launch email generator, which follows the same pre-launch, launch and follow-up structure.
