Shopify Product Exporter
Turn any storefront's public product feed into a Shopify import CSV.
How it works
Shopify stores that haven't disabled it expose a public /products.json feed, 250 products per page. This tool reads that feed, up to the page limit you set, and rebuilds every product, variant, price and image URL as a Shopify import CSV.
- Works on any Shopify store's public storefront, including your own, without needing admin access.
- Good for a quick backup, or for pulling a competitor's public catalog into a spreadsheet for research.
- Cost per item, exact inventory counts and barcodes aren't in the public feed, so those columns come back blank.
Limits
Each run reads up to 6 pages (1,500 products). For a bigger catalog, note where it stopped and note that this tool reflects only what a store chooses to make public; a store can turn products.json off entirely, in which case this returns nothing.
Only use exported data the way you'd use any public information: for your own store, or for legitimate research, not to republish someone else's copy and photos as your own.
Questions people ask
Does this need my Shopify login?
No. It reads the store's public storefront feed, the same data anyone's browser can see.
Why are some columns blank?
Cost per item, exact stock counts and barcodes aren't included in the public product feed for privacy reasons. Fill them in after importing.
Can I use this on my own store if I've lost admin access?
Yes, as long as your storefront is live and products.json hasn't been disabled.
What if a store blocks the request?
Some stores return an error or a bot-protection page for automated requests; if that happens, this tool can't read that store's feed.
