Depop Description Generator
Write Depop listings that lead with the words buyers search, give real measurements and condition, and end with five on-topic hashtags.
Why the description does the work of a title
Depop doesn't have a separate title field for most listings: the description is what search and the feed read. Depop's own advice is to keep it short, give accurate measurements and how the item fits, describe the condition and any wear, and use hashtags that describe the item.
- First line: the words a buyer would search, in order (brand, era or style, item type, color, size), so it works like a title.
- Then two or three sentences on style and fit, followed by a fact block: size, fit, measurements, material and condition, with every flaw named.
- A last line of exactly five hashtags, at most one naming the brand.
Only what you type in gets used. If you don't give a measurement or flaw, the tool leaves it out rather than guessing, and tells you what's worth adding.

For Also fill in on Depop, match those dropdown fields exactly. A description that says "size L" but a size field set to M confuses Depop's search and your buyers.
Questions people ask
How many hashtags should a Depop listing use?
Depop's help center describes using hashtags that describe the item; the tool writes exactly five, since that's the range sellers and Depop's own guidance settle on, with at most one naming the brand.
Will it make up a measurement I didn't give?
No. It only uses the measurements, flaws and fit notes you enter, and lists anything missing under Worth adding instead of guessing.
Can it compare the item to a designer brand it isn't?
No. It names only the item's own brand, never "inspired by" or "dupe" comparisons, which Depop and other resale platforms don't allow.
Does it work for items with no brand label?
Yes. Leave brand out of the details and the description opens with era or style and item type instead.
Is it free?
Yes, with a fair-use limit so it stays free for everyone. There's no sign-up. Your item details is sent to an AI model only to write the result.
