5% selling fee, plus processing
Reverb's selling fee is 5% of the item price plus shipping, capped at a maximum per sale ($500 in US dollars) so it doesn't keep climbing on very expensive gear. A separate payment processing fee applies on top: 3.19% + $0.49 for most sellers, or 2.99% + $0.49 for Reverb Preferred Sellers.
Example (the calculator's starting numbers, US, not Preferred)
- Item + shipping
- $500 + $25 = $525.00
- Selling fee (5%)
- $26.25
- Processing (3.19% of $567 + $0.49)
- $18.58
Reverb's fees total $44.83 (8.5%), so you receive $480.17. After a $300 gear cost and $25 label, profit is $155.17.
Cross-border, conversion and Bump
- Cross-border fee (1%) applies when the buyer's bank is outside your country. Sales within the European Economic Area count as domestic, so this doesn't apply there.
- Currency conversion (2.5%) applies if your listing currency differs from your payout currency.
- Bump is optional paid promotion charged on the item price only when a Bumped listing sells, at the rate you set in Reverb's Bump settings.

Questions people ask
How much does Reverb charge sellers?
A 5% selling fee on item price plus shipping (capped per sale), plus a payment processing fee of 3.19% + $0.49 (2.99% + $0.49 for Preferred Sellers).
What is a Reverb Preferred Seller?
A seller status with a lower payment processing rate (2.99% instead of 3.19%), generally earned through consistent sales and good service on the platform.
Does Reverb charge more for international sales?
A 1% cross-border fee applies when the buyer's bank is outside your country, except within the European Economic Area, which counts as domestic. A separate 2.5% fee applies if your listing and payout currencies differ.
Is there a cap on Reverb's selling fee?
Yes. The 5% selling fee is capped per sale (for example $500 for US dollar listings), so very expensive gear doesn't pay an unlimited fee.
