No selling fee in the US, UK or Australia, only processing

In the US, UK and Australia, Depop charges no separate selling fee: you only pay a payment processing fee on the item price, shipping and, in the US, sales tax. Everywhere else, sellers pay a 10% Depop selling fee plus PayPal's processing fee, since Depop Payments isn't available there.

US/UK/AU processing = rate × (item + shipping + tax) + fixed fee
US: 3.3% + $0.45. UK: 2.9% + £0.30. Australia: 2.6% + A$0.30.

Example (the calculator's starting numbers, US)

Item + shipping
$40.00 + $6.00 = $46.00
Processing (3.3% + $0.45, with 7% tax)
$2.07

You receive $43.93, and after a $10 item cost and $6 label, profit is $27.93.

Boosting and selling outside the US, UK and Australia

  • Boosting costs 12% (UK and US) or 8% (elsewhere) of the sale, but only when the sale actually comes from a Boosted listing.
  • Outside the US, UK and Australia, Depop takes a 10% selling fee and payments go through PayPal, which adds its own percentage and fixed fee that varies by country. Enter your PayPal rate for an accurate result.
  • Depop label vs your own. Using a Depop shipping label keeps the selling and Boosting fee base to the item price only; shipping another way can add shipping into that base outside the US, UK and Australia.

Questions people ask

Does Depop charge a selling fee?

Not in the US, UK or Australia: you only pay payment processing there. Everywhere else, Depop charges a 10% selling fee plus PayPal's processing fee.

How much is Depop's processing fee?

3.3% + $0.45 in the US, 2.9% + £0.30 in the UK, and 2.6% + A$0.30 in Australia, charged on the item, shipping and (in the US) sales tax.

What does Boosting cost on Depop?

12% of the sale in the UK and US, 8% elsewhere, but only on sales that actually come from a Boosted listing. There's no fee for Boosting items that don't sell.

Why is my Depop fee different outside the US, UK and Australia?

Those three regions use Depop Payments with no separate selling fee. Elsewhere, payments go through PayPal, so you pay Depop's 10% selling fee plus PayPal's own processing rate for your country.
