Vinted charges the buyer, not you

Vinted's headline feature for sellers: no selling fee, for private sellers or for Vinted Pro. Instead, the buyer pays a Buyer Protection fee on top of your price and postage. You receive your full item price, minus any Pro fees or paid promotion you chose yourself.

Buyer Protection fee = (percentage × item price) + fixed amount
Vinted's UK price list shows a range of roughly 3% to 8% plus 30p to 80p; Ireland shows about 5% plus €0.70. The exact figure is shown on each listing.

Vinted Pro and what isn't published

  • Vinted Pro sellers (business accounts) also pay no published selling fee, but Vinted charges Pro-specific fees on some invoices that it doesn't publish a rate for. Enter yours from your own invoice in Other fees you pay.
  • Bump and Spotlight are optional paid promotion, shown at the exact price before you pay, and come straight out of your profit.
  • The Buyer Protection percentage and fixed amount vary by item price and category and aren't fully published as a single number, only a range. The fields default to a middle-of-range estimate; use the exact figure Vinted shows on your listing for precision.

Questions people ask

Does Vinted charge sellers a fee?

No published selling fee for private sellers or Vinted Pro. Instead, the buyer pays a Buyer Protection fee on top of your price, which doesn't come out of your payout.

What is Vinted's Buyer Protection fee?

A fee the buyer pays for security and support on the purchase, roughly a percentage of the item price plus a small fixed amount. The exact rate is shown on each listing and varies by price and category.

Do Vinted Pro sellers pay more than private sellers?

Vinted doesn't publish a separate seller commission for Pro accounts, but some Pro invoices include other fees. Check your own invoice and enter them in the calculator's Pro fees field.

Is Vinted cheaper than Depop or Poshmark for sellers?

On paper, yes, since Vinted charges sellers nothing directly. But the Buyer Protection fee raises what buyers pay, which can affect how competitive your price looks next to a platform that folds fees into the seller side instead.
