Commission by rating, plus a seller fee and a cash-out fee
GOAT's commission depends on your seller rating, which everyone starts at 90 and which falls 10 points per cancellation and rises 2 points per successful sale. A separate seller fee depends on your location and whether you use prepaid shipping or drop-off, and a 2.9% cash-out fee applies only if you withdraw your earnings instead of keeping them as GOAT credit.

|---|---|
| 90 or above | 9.5% |
| 70 to 89 | 15% |
| 50 to 69 | 20% |

Keeping your commission low
- Every cancellation costs 10 points, which can push you into a higher commission tier fast. Only list items you can actually ship.
- Drop-off saves the seller fee in most locations, at the cost of a trip to a GOAT drop-off point instead of a prepaid label at home.
- Skip the cash-out fee by leaving earnings as GOAT credit if you plan to buy on GOAT, and only cash out when you actually need the money in your bank.

Questions people ask
How much commission does GOAT take?
9.5% at a 90+ seller rating, rising to 15%, 20% or 25% as your rating falls. Everyone starts at a 90 rating.
How do I improve my GOAT seller rating?
Ship authentic items on time. Each successful sale adds 2 points, while each cancellation costs 10 points, so avoiding cancellations matters much more than chasing extra sales.
Does GOAT charge a fee to cash out?
Yes, 2.9% when you withdraw earnings to your bank or PayPal. Keeping the balance as GOAT credit avoids that fee, once you've earned at least $25.
Is the GOAT seller fee the same everywhere?
No. It depends on your location and whether you ship with a prepaid label or drop the item off, ranging from $0 (US or Canada drop-off) up to $30 for locations outside GOAT's listed countries.
