Amazon Rufus Listing Checker
See which questions shoppers ask Amazon's AI assistant your listing answers, which it misses, and the exact lines to add.
How Amazon's assistant answers questions
Rufus is Amazon's AI shopping assistant. On a product page, shoppers ask it things like "is this jacket machine washable?" Amazon says it answers from the product listing details, customer reviews and community Q&As.
On May 13, 2026, Amazon brought Rufus and Alexa+ together as Alexa for Shopping on the Amazon app and website. Sellers still search for "Rufus", and the principle hasn't changed: the assistant can only repeat facts that are written somewhere.
That's the part you control. When your listing states a fact plainly, the assistant can give it. When it says "premium quality" or "great gift for anyone", there's nothing to answer with, and the shopper is left with reviews or no answer at all.
What the checker does
- 01
Predicts the questions
It writes the 10 questions shoppers most often ask about your kind of product, putting any questions you've had from customers first.
- 02
Checks your listing
Each question is marked Answered, Partly or Not answered, with where the answer sits: the title, a bullet or the description.
- 03
Scores it
The score is the number of questions your listing answers, out of 10.
- 04
Writes the fixes
For gaps, it writes the line to add. Where you haven't given the fact, it leaves [add the fact] for you instead of guessing.
It also flags vague phrases that answer nothing, and says what fact to put in their place.
Fixing the gaps
- Put fit, size and compatibility in the bullets. They're the most asked and the most scanned.
- Put use, care and "who it's for" in the description, as plain sentences.
- Answer real customer questions in your listing copy, then keep the wording consistent across the title, bullets and description.
- Read your reviews. If they keep mentioning a problem, such as a lid that's hard to open, address it honestly in the listing.
The Amazon bullet points generator can rewrite your bullets with the missing facts included.
Questions people ask
What does Rufus use to answer questions about my product?
Amazon says Rufus answers from product listing details, customer reviews and community Q&As. Your listing is the part you control directly.
Is Rufus still called Rufus?
Amazon combined Rufus and Alexa+ into Alexa for Shopping on May 13, 2026. The advice is the same: state facts plainly so the assistant can repeat them.
Does a higher score guarantee more sales?
No. Amazon doesn't publish how its assistant ranks or recommends products. The score measures one thing: how many common questions your listing answers.
Can the checker see my live listing?
No. Paste the title, bullets and description yourself. It judges only the text you paste.
Is it free?
Yes, with a fair-use limit so it stays free for everyone. There's no sign-up. Your notes are sent to an AI model only to write the copy.
