Shopify to WooCommerce CSV Converter
Upload a Shopify product export and download a WooCommerce-ready import CSV, with variants converted to WooCommerce attributes.
How Shopify columns map to WooCommerce
| Shopify | WooCommerce | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Title, URL handle | Name | Rows are grouped by handle to find each product's variants. |
| Price and Compare-at price | Regular price and Sale price | When Compare-at price is higher than Price, Price becomes the WooCommerce sale price and Compare-at becomes the regular price. Otherwise Price maps straight to Regular price. |
| Option1/2 name and value | Attribute 1/2 name and value(s) | Up to two options convert to WooCommerce attributes. A third Shopify option is flagged so you can add it by hand. |
| Inventory quantity, Continue selling when out of stock | Stock, In stock? | In stock is set to yes when quantity is above zero, or when continue-selling is on. |
| Weight value (grams) | Weight (kg) | Converted from grams to kilograms. |
| SEO title, SEO description | Meta: _yoast_wpseo_title / _yoast_wpseo_metadesc | Only used if Yoast SEO is installed. Rank Math users should remap these columns to rank_math_title / rank_math_description on import. |
Importing into WooCommerce
- 01
Export from Shopify
Products → Export → Export as CSV, all products, then upload the file here.
- 02
Download the converted file
Check the issues list first: any product with no SKU or a third variant option needs a quick manual check.
- 03
Import into WooCommerce
Products → All Products → Import, upload the file, then map any column WooCommerce doesn't recognize automatically (especially GTIN and Cost of goods).
Grouped and external (affiliate) Shopify products have no WooCommerce equivalent through this basic mapping and are left out with a warning.
Questions people ask
Does this move my product images?
It carries over the image URLs from your Shopify export. WooCommerce's importer downloads images from those URLs during import, so keep the Shopify store (or a CDN copy) reachable until the import finishes.
What happens to a product with three variant options?
The first two convert to WooCommerce attributes automatically. The third is flagged in the issues list; add it as a third attribute by hand after importing.
Will this set up my WooCommerce tax classes?
It sets Tax status (taxable or none) from Shopify's Charge tax setting, but doesn't create tax classes or rates. Set those up separately under WooCommerce → Settings → Tax.
Does it convert the product description formatting?
The Description column is copied over as-is (Shopify exports it as HTML), which WooCommerce's importer accepts directly.
