PrestaShop to Shopify Converter
Convert a PrestaShop or Square product export to a Shopify CSV.
How it works
This tool detects which platform your file came from automatically. A PrestaShop export (semicolon-separated, with a Reference # column) reads Name, Reference #, Price, Quantity, Weight, Categories and Image URLs. A Square item export (with Item Name and Variation Name columns) groups rows sharing an Item Name into one product with variants.
Pitfalls
- PrestaShop's price column can hold a tax-excluded or tax-included amount depending on your export settings; check a few rows against your PrestaShop admin before importing.
- PrestaShop product combinations (size/color variants) need a separate Combinations export, not covered here; each row becomes a single-variant product.
- Square's item export doesn't include image URLs, so add photos to each product after importing.
Questions people ask
How does it tell PrestaShop and Square files apart?
By their column names: PrestaShop exports include a "Reference #" column, Square exports include "Item Name" and "Variation Name".
Does it handle PrestaShop's multistore setups?
It reads whichever rows are in the file you export; run it once per store if you manage several.
What about Square's modifiers?
Modifiers (like "add sprinkles") aren't variants in the same sense and aren't converted; only item variations are.
Will taxes be set up automatically?
No, set up your Shopify tax rates separately in Settings → Taxes and duties.
