How rows are grouped

Squarespace exports one row per variant, all sharing the same Title. This tool groups rows with a matching title into a single WooCommerce product: the first row supplies the description, categories, tags and images, and every row in the group becomes a variation using Option Name 1/2 and Option Value 1/2.

A product with only one row (no real variants) converts to a simple WooCommerce product instead.

Exporting and importing

Pitfalls

  • Column names on export files change between app versions and store settings. This tool matches a wide set of likely header names and shows a live preview, so check the preview against your file before you download.
  • Products are grouped by an exact title match. If two unrelated products share a title, split them by renaming one before you export again.
  • Squarespace's Sale Price maps to WooCommerce's Sale price column directly; remove it on the download for any variation you don't want discounted.

Questions people ask

Where's the Squarespace export option?

Commerce → Inventory, then the Import/Export link near the top of the page.

What if my products don't have SKUs?

The parent product's SKU is left blank on purpose, since WooCommerce won't allow two products or variations to share one SKU. Add SKUs after import if you rely on them for fulfillment.

Does this bring across my page URLs for redirects?

Squarespace's product export doesn't include a reliable page URL column across all plan types, so this tool doesn't add one. Use the sitemap URL extractor on your live Squarespace site first to capture your product URLs before you switch.

Will weight and shipping come across?

Not from this converter. Set weight, dimensions and shipping class in WooCommerce afterward, or add those columns to the download using the WooCommerce product CSV template as a reference.
