Supplement Product Description Generator
Write supplement descriptions that stick to the facts and your substantiated claims, with no disease claims and the FDA disclaimer where needed.
The rules a supplement description follows
- Structure/function claims are allowed; disease claims aren't. The FDA gives "calcium builds strong bones" as a structure/function claim. A claim to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent a disease is a disease claim, and only drugs can make those.
- Disease claims can be implied. Under 21 CFR 101.93(g), naming a disease, its symptoms, or using disease terms or imagery can turn a statement into a disease claim.
- Claims need a disclaimer. Any structure/function claim needs this text: "This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease." The manufacturer must also notify the FDA of the claim within 30 days of marketing it.
- Claims need evidence. The FTC expects health claims to be supported by competent and reliable scientific evidence. Testimonials don't count, and the FDA disclaimer doesn't fix a misleading claim.
How the tool applies them
- 01
Facts from your label
Serving size, amounts, % Daily Value, other ingredients, suggested use and warnings are copied exactly into their own sections.
- 02
Only your claims
Health effects come only from Structure/function claims you've substantiated. Leave it blank and the description sticks to ingredients, dose, form and testing.
- 03
Asterisk and disclaimer
Each claim is marked with an asterisk, and the disclaimer paragraph (plural: "These statements…") is added at the end.
- 04
Banned words
No disease names, no cure or prevent, and no "clinically proven", "FDA approved", detox or weight-loss promises.
The disclaimer is always written in English, because it's a US requirement. If you sell in other markets, check their rules too.
Adding it to your store

Match the label
Check the Supplement facts section against your label and your notified claims before publishing. The tool reduces risk but isn't legal advice.
Questions people ask
What is a structure/function claim?
A statement about how a nutrient affects the normal structure or function of the body, such as "calcium builds strong bones". It must be truthful, supported by evidence and followed by the FDA disclaimer.
What counts as a disease claim?
Any claim that a product diagnoses, treats, cures, mitigates or prevents a disease, including by naming its symptoms. Supplements can't make them, so the tool never names diseases.
Do I need the FDA disclaimer on my product page?
Whenever the page makes a structure/function claim, include it. The tool adds it automatically when your description contains a claim.
Why didn't it mention any benefits?
Because you didn't enter any substantiated claims. Add the claims you have evidence for, and have notified, in the claims field, and it will use them.
Is it free?
Yes, with a fair-use limit so it stays free for everyone. There's no sign-up. Your notes are sent to an AI model only to write the copy.
