Furniture Product Description Generator
Write furniture descriptions that help shoppers picture the piece at home, with dimensions, materials and assembly spelled out.
What a furniture description needs
Furniture is bulky and costly to return, so the description has to settle three worries: will it fit, will it last, and how hard is it to set up.
| Section | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Opening and features | The style and how it works day to day in the room you pick |
| Dimensions | Width, depth and height, then seat height, clearance and doorway sizes, one per line |
| Materials and care | Each material exactly as given, weight limits and care |
| Assembly and delivery | How it arrives, boxes, people, time and tools |
Units stay as you enter them. If you sell in both metric and inches, enter both.
Pitfalls it avoids
- Upgraded materials. Oak veneer isn't solid oak, and MDF isn't solid wood. The tool only writes "solid" where you do.
- Invented capacities. Weight limits and seat counts only appear if you give them.
- Proof claims. Stain-proof, pet-proof and weatherproof are left out unless your details state them.
- Tip-over. Under the CPSC's STURDY rule, clothing storage units such as dressers and chests (27 inches or taller, at least 30 pounds and 3.2 cubic feet of storage) made after September 1, 2023 must meet stability tests and come with an anti-tip device. If you enter that a kit is included, the description tells buyers to use it, and it never calls a piece tip-proof.

Add the delivery facts
Put any minimum doorway or stair width in the description, not only in an FAQ. It's the fact that prevents failed deliveries.

Questions people ask
What dimensions should a furniture listing include?
Overall width, depth and height, plus the measurements that matter for that piece: seat height and depth for seating, clearance for tables, drawer sizes for storage, and any doorway size needed for delivery.
Can I call veneer furniture solid wood?
No. Describe the material as it is, such as oak veneer over MDF. The tool never upgrades a material you enter.
Should I mention anti-tip kits?
Yes, if one is included. Dressers and similar clothing storage units covered by the CPSC's STURDY rule must ship with an anti-tip device, and the description tells buyers to secure the piece to the wall.
Does it describe assembly?
Yes, from what you enter: how it arrives, how many boxes, how many people and how long, and whether tools are included.
Is it free?
Yes, with a fair-use limit so it stays free for everyone. There's no sign-up. Your notes are sent to an AI model only to write the copy.
