Collection Description Generator

Collection and category pages usually rank for the broad searches (“women's running shoes”, “loose leaf tea”) that bring in the most traffic. Yet most stores leave them with a title and a grid of products, which gives Google almost nothing to go on.

The fix isn't a wall of text above the products. Shoppers want to see products first. The pattern that works for both shoppers and search is:

• A short intro above the grid: one paragraph that says what's in the range and who it suits.
• A buying guide below the grid: how to choose within the collection, for the people still deciding.
• A few questions and answers at the bottom, for the full SEO length.

   Shopify

   Paste the intro into the collection's Description under Products → Collections. For copy below the grid, many themes offer a second text block in the theme editor, or you can add one with a collection metafield.

   WooCommerce

   Paste into Products → Categories → Description. Most themes show it above the products. To place the guide below, use your theme's archive template or an SEO plugin that supports a bottom description.

   Add the links

   The copy mentions related collections by name. Link those words to the matching collections to help shoppers and search engines move around the store.
